Laura Riedl (Germany)

Her first shaky steps on a slackline, Laura took on a climbing festival in 2010. Not daring to even dream about highlining at this time, she soon afterwards got the chance to try her first highline. After a lot of leashfalls, bruises and then surprisingly walking it on the second day, it further on was not to be parted from her life anymore.Highlining still is the way of slacklining which fascinates her most, a perfect mixture of concentration, focus and flow and to connect different sports to it, like climbing, mountaineering, and acrobatics. Two of her projects beside slacklining are to become a geography teacher for blind children and to use the sport and community for integration-projects with, for example, refugees.
