FAQ

General

The festival proper starts on Thursday July 11th. You can set up your tent in the morning. Check-in from 10. The first event for everyone is the Opening Gathering at 1.30 pm.

We finish at 5-6 pm on Sunday 14th. Everyone needs to help out packing the festival, so it does not fall on a few people to do it. Hence, please plan your connections accordingly.

We don't have any volunteer spots at the festival. We have community builders which receive a discounted ticket price. In return, our community builders help set up the festival during our build-up days (Mo - Thu). Read more about becoming a community builder here. Become a community builder.

We love to bring new talent and content to our festival. For any inquiries about teaching, performances or lectures please contact our CONTENT TEAM here: teacher@movecopenhagen.com

MoveFamily is an integral part of our festival, where parents can move together with their children and enjoy a beautiful movement- timeout.  You can find the tickets here!

We are always looking for awesome movers, that want to share their energy and passion for MoveCopenhagen, and create next years festival. Being a Move Core member is a work of passion and love of sharing the Move spirit to more people...
Send us an email on Info@movecopenhagen.com, describing your qualifications, passion, and dedication - what and where can you contribute to make MoveCopenhagen an even more fantastic festival.

There are several options, so hold on 🙂

From City center
Bus 9A leaves from the main train station to Refshaleøen.

From Cph Airport
Arriving at Copenhagen Airport, take the metro to Christianshavn, and grab bus 9A from there to Refshaleøen.

CityBikes
Bikes are the only true way to move in (and experience) Copenhagen, so grab a rental bike and get from A to B in the easiest and often faster way than public transport... open an account here, and you are ready to go 🙂

On site..

You sign up on site at the festival. It is not possible to sign up online.

We have a marked area where you sign up for the next two workshops on the program. These signups are updated throughout the festival. After the first two workshops you can sign up for the next two, etc. etc.

We love the fact that people want to hang out and jam with each other.  We are providing a kind of living room in the heart of the festival. With music and comfy spaces its the perfect setting for casual jamming during the festival. You may also use our festival venues (tents) when they are not in use by one of our many teachers & workshops. Please always be mindful of other people´s need for space and relaxing atmosphere. Higher level acrobatics and jamming might be more suited to the venues than our shared living room in the center of the festival. Thank you for choosing with other people in mind.

Camping & Facilities

Camping is part of our MoveCopenhagen village. Put your tent inside the marked squares. The path between squares needs to be kept free of any obstructions (fire safety!)

Yes. When you buy your ticket, you also get a free spot for your tent or campervan (limited space for vans, please contact us).

We provide plenty of toilets and some showers on the festival grounds. You are also welcome to jump into the harbor, it is clean and safe. But there are NO LIFEGUARDs on duty!

We provide you with a basic setup to charge your phone or camera. Please don't charge any larger batteries or devices due to the risk of a power surge. Anything you charge is under your own supervision and care. We can not guarantee for safekeeping of your devices.

Yes, you can bring a van, and park it in the camping space. We do not have options to hook up to electricity or water.

..hmmm.. there isn't lots of hotels near the festival site. If you can't bring a tent or know someone in Copenhagen, try your options at booking.com or airbnb.com...

Tickets

Tickets will be available from Feb 1st. You can buy your regular festival ticket on Billetto.dk at our Event page (link).

Community builder tickets are available on this separate Community Builder Event page (link)

Meal tickets come available on Feb 1st - together with regular and community builder tickets. We advise to buy the package deal. It gives you the best price overall!

The meal ticket includes 3 x breakfast  (Fri, Sat, Sun), 3 lunches (Fri, Sat, Sun) and 3 dinners (Thurs, Fri, Sat).

In 2019 the Community Kitchen is creating ALL food for us. We significantly reduced the price for the food ticket. We are keeping it simple, affordable, sustainable and plant-based. It will be balanced, high in quality and "full"-filling.

We don't have any volunteer spots at the festival. We have community builders which receive a discounted ticket price. In return, our community builders help set up the festival during our build-up days (Mo - Thu). Read more about becoming a community builder here. Become a community builder.

Pay it Forward tickets is a way to share your joy for Move Copenhagen with a less fortunate mover.
Previous years we have had refugees from Sjælsmark participating in Move Copenhagen, giving them an experience for life and this year we would like to give young homeless people in Copenhagen, refugees from Sjælsmark, and similar groups an opportunity to participate and get an experience they otherwise do not have the opportunity to participate in.
You can find the tickets here!

We do realize that not everyone can afford a full priced ticket and we strive to be as inclusive as possible. This is why we've decided to offer 25 people the opportunity to purchase a ticket at a reduced rate.
HOW? Please write an e-mail to tickets@movecopenhagen.com explaining your situation. We will get back with you to let you know how to proceed.

For breakfast, there will be gluten-free options. For other meals, there should be plenty of selection.

Mostly. There may be some vegetarian dishes served during the warmup, and if we are gifted food, this may contain non-vegan ingredients (typically, the cakes)

We have opted to not have meat products in the kitchen, for sustainability, simplicity, and price. Reffen is a streetfood place just around the corner, which has plenty of selection in case you would like to supplement.

Yes. However, you will have to be self-sufficient, as there are no cooking facilities available.
