Marc Thompson (Switzerland)

Marc stumbled across his first slackline in 2011 and plunged into a bottomless rabbit hole. Guided by the slackline community in Bern, Switzerland, he started exploring slacklining in its full diversity, which quickly went beyond balancing on a piece of webbing. He developed a passion for other forms of movement and the organisation of the community by means of association work, events and regular slackline trainings. While exploring the tunnels of the rabbit hole, the one thing that remains constant is the enjoyment of setting foot on a slackline and feeling the body interact with it. When listening carefully, it reveals the elusive balance between tension and relaxation; between focus and distraction.
